Catch Up Club, Last of 2023...On to 2024!

A few friends and I created a "Catch Up Club". We create cards from kits, classes or other sources and post them on the last day of the month. The one requirement is not difficult: it must be something that we are behind on!

This month I chose to work on a set of three cards designed by Gina K Designs.  These were part of the September, 2023 Crop & Create Delivered Virtual Card Making event.

Here are the three cards made per Gina's instructions during the class.

From the left:
A shadowbox card
A gatefold card and
a stair step card

The shadow box card is a new one for me. It's supported by a long piece of cardstock which is folded at the top of the shadow box shape.  The shadow box is attached to the card base in an easel manner.

These two cards feature the "Decorative Double" Stencil by Gina K Designs.

The gatefold card uses the second stencil included with the kit on the left and right folds and the center panel. Both cards are stenciled lightly with Kraft ink by Gina K Designs.

The florals on all three cards are "Fancy Florals" Layering Stencils and Die Set by Gina K Designs.

The phrases are so pretty and were also included in the kit, "Fancy Phrases" Stamp and Die Set by Gina K Designs.

The stair step card uses her technique of creating a background by dragging the ink pads down the white panel.

I think mine here are a little too dark for my taste, but that's how it goes when making things!

Gina K Designs is one of my very favorite companies, and this set of dies and sentiments will certainly see a lot of use.

It was fun to use the supplies to make cards with non traditional folds.

Here are the links for my friends in the Catch Up Club.  Please visit their blogs and admire their work from some past project or class.
