NO - I am NOT having a baby!! LOL. Been there, done that, many years ago!
I am talking about a stunning parakeet we brought home 2 days ago. She is not named just yet, but I'm settling in on a couple of considerations.

Bijou has not met her yet. She's been cleared by our avian vet, but some quarantine is safe practice. She's about 6 months old and likes to snuggle up on our shoulders and under my hair on the back of my neck. It's a lot of change for her these past two days, so we're just taking it slow for her and letting her become comfortable in her new surroundings.
Later today I hope to get inky! If I am successful, I can post some pictures. Thanks for stopping by!

I hate to tell you this....I am scared of birds! I do think some are pretty ~ and Bij and this new friend qualify!

Many years ago my parents best friends raised parakeets and I used to love to go to their house to see them all.....fabulous birds!

I love the colors of your new baby- such a pretty bird! So, do you teach them to talk??? I would have mine saying- Let's stamp, time to create....hahaha stuff like that! If I ever got one, it would learn all about any kind of sport you could imagine!!!
Oh, she is BEAUTIFUL!! I can't wait to hear what the name will be, & I know Bijou will be happy to have a feathered friend with him!!

Wow! She is breath taking D! I love her colors. I want to see pics when she and Bijou meet! I hope it's better than the first meeting of the birds on the movie "Rio" :)
